So much more than just another self-help book By Mrs Rachel Tetley

September 14, 2014 I have read a lot of self-help/ motivational books and I can honestly say that this "Unleash Your Potential Beyond Just Motivation" is a firm favourite because it feels like so much more than that. I think the main reason for that is because it very much reminds me of the wisdom of the Deli Lama in the way that it feels like a collection of wise thoughts based on personal experience and the experiences of others which are delivered in a holistic manner rather than a one dimensional approach and therefore the use is so much deeper. There are a wide range of quotes and comparisons making the information accessible to everyone and the advice has clearly been built on firm foundations. There are some minor translation differences apparent throughout the book, but this should not put you off as they do not interfere with the messages at all and for me added to the authenticity of the book and it's author. This book is an invaluable guide for anyone who feels a little lost in themselves and will undoubtedly serve as a path of enlightenment to all those who embrace it.

HANDLING CRITICISM

Criticism and Mockery are unavoidable marauders on the highway to success. You may find the person you least expect among them. Speed up concentrating on your wheel to drive pass them. They would shout thief at you. Don't match the break to reply or compete with them because they are actually the thieves. Speed up. For the fear of these marauders called criticism and mockery, many had turned back at the verge of success, many had left had left their vehicles to sneak pass the bush. Lo, the bush path is no shortcut. Marauders are there too. Ask those who God had seen through to success. They all drove pass the highway marauders. List them. From Jesus to Kenneth Copeland to Kenneth Hagin to Daddy Adeboye and so on. None of them tried to duck this marauders called criticism and mockery. This review is from: Unleash Your Potential: Beyond Just Motivation (Kindle Edition) A truly thought provoking book that not only helps with motivation but also gives the incentive to move forward and take action. Taking advise from the bible gives us life's lessons from mentors to choose the right path in this sometimes harsh world we live in. Learning by lessor judgements and mistakes teaches us to move forward with poor previous experiences which shape us in to better people. Setting goals and visualizing our true strengths can move us forward, setting aside simple obstacles and striding with ease through a less complicated process. The author give advise about many things including, the best way to make friends (and keep them), goals and potential in life, dealing with failure, the importance of giving, keeping faith, combating fear, and how to become a leader for a successful business. He even talks humbly about the bible. I am happy I found this book, and will read it often. Abegunde is a talented writer, and I look forward to many more self help and awareness books from him in the future.
